That question would take a year to answer, Drayzee.

In summary, however, she has treated gliders - MANY MANY gliders as cash cows whom she treats irresponsibly by failing to quarantine them and by breeding them without lineage.  She does not seem to care one bit about the overall health and wellfare of the gliders that pass through her hands, but IF she should decide to keep one - to breed and hopefully make some money off of - THEN she will care enough to get it a good cage and some vet care.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg.  She has for YEARS mistreated gliders - ESPECIALLY RESCUES - and that makes her bad news in the eyes of many of us  - ESPECIALLY us rescue homes.

This glider community has spent years trying to educate others about the dangers of doing the things that Lauren does repeatedly.  As a rescue home, it falls to me and the others like me to clean up the mess people like Lauren make.  I have the pleasure of caring for many, many gliders who suffer physical special needs due to neglected health care, diet or enrichment AND many who have cognitive impairments that result from being irresponsibly bred.  This is why we continue to educate on the importance of NEUTERING any male without lineage, purchasing gliders ONLY from reputable breeders who provide verifyable lineage, VETTING any and all gliders that come in to your home, QUARANTINE for EVERY glider you bring in and NEVER, EVER, EVER allowing a rescue to breed.

Lauren has shown over and over and over that she will continue to treat gliders with disregard for their future wellfare, current health and emotional needs.  I really hope, Drayzee, that you will look to someone else as a mentor in your glider journey.  Lauren may give sound advice from time to time, but the example she sets by her own actions is deplorable.

I've only ever bred one Sugar Glider in my entire life, Bandit, and as of early this year, he's been neutered. I have stated that repeatedly, it is your choice whether or not you choose to believe it. ALL of my Sugar Gliders are housed in HUGE cages, my first colony has a 5ft cage and my second, has the very common, Bourbon cage because there are only 2 of them. They are fed PROVEN diets (Priscilla Price) and see a veterinarian (exotic) every 6 months minimal for a check up. They get LOADS of bonding time and attention, they are very happy little Gliders.

If I'm mistreating rescues, why in the name of hell am I trying to find a new, permanent home for one? If I wanted to mistreat him, I would shove him in a cage and forget about him, no food, no water, unless you are going to make a point of lying, I don't do that.

What do I do repeatedly? Hmn? I don't irresponsibly breed mine, I don't breed mine at all. When I did, it was only for a short time and then I realized "Hey, no lineage, no can do." It's called, becoming smart and mature, which you aren't acting like right now. He is NEUTERED, all of MINE were from USDA licensed breeders except Bandit who was surrendered to me, I didn't ask, he was given to me. Priscilla has lineage on all of my males if I ask her, I've already questioned that. They are sterile however, so I have no need for it, but, it's good to have around. My females all, too, can have lineage provided. All of mine are vetted before being introduced to my colony, and none of MY rescues are bred, I've quarantined every Glider introduced as well.

You can say what you want about me, honestly Val, I really don't care anymore. I know what I'm talking about, I'm not stupid and according to others, putting Drayzee aside =) I do give good advice.

Thank you for insulting me, I do find it offensive..

Thank you for your reply! I am glad that I was able to help out you and your little buddy, that puts a smile on my face. I honestly have to agree with you, I'm not the admin here and I am aware too that it doesn't really matter, they take pleasure in bad mouthing anyone who makes a mistake and then exaggerating it. I don't let it bother me personally, they can say what they want about me. I'm too strong of a person to let it hurt. I do have things going on in my life right now that forces the sale of many of my Gliders. If there was anyway to keep them, I would, I love every single one of them. =)
